Parish Zoom Workshop

As we plan to gather with family and friends over the holidays, many of us are feeling a growing unease about how we interact in households with wildly divergent opinions on current events. How do we enter into conversations that are meaningful but not combative? Can our mission to Be Like Jesus inspire a more hopeful and loving experience in our families?
Please join us for a workshop that will help you navigate the often treacherous waters of holiday family gatherings. The workshop is being offered live via zoom on Thursday, December 9 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. and is presented by Doug Nathan, a consultant who specializes in, among other things, conflict resolution. (To learn more about Doug CLICK HERE.) There is a $20 per household charge to attend and the fee will be invoiced to you after the workshop is completed.

- Learn how to be proactive in fostering healthy, meaningful conversations
- Be given tips for establishing “boundaries” for your conversations with family and friends
- Develop strategies to respond to tense moments
- Experience a process for shifting from drama to empowerment
- Recognize and manage your emotions so that you can positively influence others
- Identify practical steps to support clarity, confidence, curiosity and compassion in conversations.
